World Heritage Site Management and Use Plan 2019

The Management and Use Plan presents the core values of the World Heritage site, related objectives, and threats. The plan addresses the stakeholders of the World Heritage site, its operational environment, and key areas of activity.

Verla's first Management Plan was prepared in 2012. At that time, Finland's World Heritage sites used the 'Enhancing our Heritage Toolkit' developed by UNESCO's World Heritage Centre for natural sites as a tool. Finland's sites utilized this for the first time in cultural site management and use plans.
