Museum Opening Hours 2026

The Verla Mill Museum is open during the summer season: 

May Day Event 1st of May.

From 2 May to 30 September, Tuesday to Sunday, 11:00–16:00.
From Midsummer to 15 August, the museum is open daily, 10:00–18:00.
Open on theme Saturdays in October and November.

Guided tours on the hour, the last one of the day begins at the closing time 16/18. 

The museum is closed on Midsummer’s Eve 19 June. 
During the wintertime guided tours for groups on request.

The fully restored main building of Verla, Patruunan Pytinki, now houses a new restaurant.

Verla is a unique UNESCO World Heritage site that brings the turn of the 20th century to life.

Verla has something for everyone, from couples and families with children to school and work groups.

At Verla, you can stay in the mill village workers’ cottages in the middle of the World Heritage site.

Repovesi National Park and Kouvola’s other cultural attractions are just a short drive away.

WELCOME

The Verla World Heritage site is located in the village of Verla, a 32-kilometre drive from the centre of Kouvola. You can reach Verla by car or taxi from Kouvola train station. In the summer, a bus runs from Kouvola to Verla.
